Essential Services

Member schools and districts are eligible to receive the following essential network services

Wide Area Network (WAN) district Internet access Local Area Network (LAN) Support
  • Band width management
  • Traffic shaping and analysis
  • Firewall and Filter management
  • Zimbra E-mail exchange service

  • Domain name service DNS management
  • Network design consultation
  • Network equipment purchase recommendations
  • Remote troubleshooting for server, equipment and desktop issues
  • Submit a ticket (for LAN Managers)

In most troubleshooting situations, LAN service support and case resolution may be achieved remotely by joining a zoom meeting with our technicians as they use a Virtual Private Network connection.

However, for special consultation projects, some server and network issues, as well as VCT classroom equipment issues, it may be necessary to provide services on site.

Schools are assessed for on-site labor at $65/hour and for business mileage at the current NDE reimbursement rate when on-site LAN service support is necessary or requested (effective date 2011July1). 

Member schools may purchase an annual on-site LAN support package , which reduces labor rates within a tier structure.
