ILCD: File Review
School districts and approved cooperatives in Nebraska are required to conduct a student/child file review of Part B and Part C standards for meeting the requirements of IDEA and Rule 51.
File reviews may be conducted on an annual basis by the districts and cooperatives, but must be conducted every 5 years to meet the compliance/monitoring requirements. A variety of data will be collected during the file review.
Teachers will record findings from the student files reviewed by recording results electronically onto the district’s ILCD website.
For any areas of concern identified during the Compliance Review, a Corrective Action Plan (CAP) for correction of noncompliance will be developed and implemented by the District, and will be reviewed and approved by the Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) Regional Program Specialist.
